Emily’s getting ready to kill or be killed. She doesn’t want any softness getting in the way of that. She’s locking her heart up tight. But when Nolan hugs her, she hugs him back. He’s hurting, so she puts her arms around him, touches his back. And she’s hurting—facing down death is scary, no matter how hard a person is—so there’s that moment where she closes her eyes, lets herself take something from the touch. And that tenderness shared brings Jack to the forefront of her mind. And, of course, ultimately it’s the memory of her father that saves her from becoming a killer. I find it fascinating that gentleness and kindness and forgiveness are things that Emily negotiates for herself through her father and Nolan. And that Jack is in the role of being a love that represents hope and innocence and another life she might have had. It’s all genderfucky. EMILY VANCAMP ACTED HER ASS OFF IN THIS EPISODE OKAY. guh.

I like drinking port after Revenge.
After really good episodes of Revenge, I go grab a glass of my five-month-old port and feel all delicious and evil, just like Revenge. XD But seriously, the finale was AMAZING. Just when I thought, “This is enough. This is intense and I will be satisfied for the summer,” BOOM. SO MANY THINGS HAPPENED. And omg my bb Victoria. Don’t be dead. I LOVE YOU AND YOUR EVILNESS. AND HOTNESS. That too. Also, serious Emily/Nolan vibes. Although I was sadface for her when Amanda showed up (although I kinda like her, shh) but then again, I’m not a huge fan of Jack so whatevs. BUT SERIOUSLY SO GOOD.
And now I’ll continue to drink my port. Classy bitch I am. :D
